Murder Mystery on The Great Central Railway
Fancy yourself as a bit of a supersleuth? Join an evening of high
drama and fine dining with D.I. Bauls as he investigates the case
of the missing railway representative, with the help of Sid Siding
the Stationmaster, May Bee the office girl and Mrs Bouffet-Carr,
doyen of the station canteen. You are encouraged to ensure the
killer gets his just desserts before you do!
The Great Central Railway, which is the UK's only double track,
main line heritage railway, has been voted number 12 on the list of
the 50 greatest railway journeys in the world. It has also won a gold
award for the East Midland's Best Visitor Experience.
Originally a main line from Sheffield to London, the 8 mile section between Loughborough and Leicester has been preserved and visitors can take a step back in time at each of the 4 stations which reflect a different period of the railway's 109 year history.
Trains currently run every weekend of the year, bank holidays and daily in the summer. You can also enjoy a First Class Restaurant Car Service which provides delicious 5 course meals.
Why not take a ride and help solve the mystery on Friday 29th July, or hop onboard for other enjoyable events held throughout the year.
